Financial Assistance for ANM/GNM/Technical Courses

The objective of the scheme is to provide assistance to the youths of the Tea Tribes Community for training of ANM/GNM/Para-Medical and other job assured technical and professional Diploma & Degree courses with minimum 1(one) year duration in both Government and Non-Government Institutes.

Method of Implementation - Advertisements inviting applications from eligible candidates for availing the financial assistance shall be published in the official website of the Directorate of the Tea tribes Welfare,Assam as well as in local newspapers.

The eligible candidates shall submit their applications along with supporting documents online through the link given in the website.

Eligibility criteria- a) For availing financial assistance under ANM/GNM/Technical courses , the applicants must be currently undergoing the courses in a Govt or Govt recognized Institutes.

b) In case of students applying for sponsored GNM course, minimum qualification for selection of candidates is HSSLC (10+2) Science or equivalent and or as per latest guidelines of Indian Nursing Council (INC).

c) Age: Applicants have to be in the age group of 17-24 years on 1st January of the year of Admission. Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC/MOBC (TGL, Ex-TGL) candidates.

d) Students undergoing professional , job-oriented technical Diploma/Degree courses shall apply with all details of their educational qualifications and the courses for which they have applied for the financial assistance.

e) Physically Handicapped candidates may also apply and shall be given due weight-age as per Govt norms.

f) Students who have passed out or who have abandoned their courses shall not be eligible for financial assistance.Only students who are currently and regularly enrolled in the courses shall apply.

g) The candidate must be a permamnent resident of Assam and must beong to Tea Tribes Community.

h)The candidate must produce Caste certificate (OBC/MOBC-TGL/Ex-TGL) which is duly certified by the Deputy Commissioners or their designated officers.

i)Undertaking on the annual family income stating that is not exceeding Rs.5.00lakh per annum to be submitted by the Parent/Guardian

j) Must produce admission receipt of the course undergoing along with applications.

Rates of the Financial Assistance : Group A - Rs.20,000/- p.a - GNM(both Govt & Non Govt Institutions)

                                                            Group B- Rs.15,000/-p.a -ANM (both Govt & Non-Govt Institutions)

                                             Group C- Rs.8,000/- p.a - Polytechnic, Vocational 3 (three) years Degree

                                             Courses and equivalent

                                             Group D- Rs.6,000/-p.a - ITI,Lab Technician and other Diploma courses of not

                                             less than 2(two) years duration.

                                            Group E - Rs.4,000/-p.a- PGDCA, Beauty Therapist and other diploma courses

                                            of not less than 1(one) year duration.
